Brand new Gatorade campaign via TBWA Chiat-LA

Latest campaign for a great cause with Gatorade. Highlighting/promoting Equity In Sports. Showing how athletes with different hurdles to overcome did so, by believing in themselves. Succeeding and taking them to heights they could only see.

Directed by one of my favorite people/directors/DPs, Malik Hassan Sayeed. One of the most down to earth people (his talent goes without saying) I’ve had the pleasure of working with.

9/1/2021: First time in 5 years, FIJI Water is rebranding their packaging, bringing more beauty to the packaging by making more of the iconic hibiscus flower.

Adding to the beauty, Hans Zimmer composed all our tracks for all the spots, so it sounds as beautiful as it looks.

MY CAREER STARTED AS AN INTERN WITH THE ACADEMY OF TELEVISION ARTS AND SCIENCES (THE EMMY FOLKS) WHILE I WAS ATTENDING CSU LONG BEACH AS A FILM MAJOR.  THIS LEAD TO A SHORT STINT  AS A FREELANCE PRODUCTION ASSISTANT FOR PRODUCTION COMPANIES BEFORE I WAS OFFERED A JOB AS AN A/V SUPERVISOR WITH THE AGENCY I HAD AN INTERNSHIP WITH, WHICH EVENTUALLY LEAD TO BEING THE HEAD OF THE IN HOUSE PRODUCTION ARM.  WHILE THERE, I WORKED MY WAY UP AS A BROADCAST PRODUCER WHERE I OFTEN UTILIZED MY EDITORIAL SKILLS, AND CUT SPOTS THAT I WAS ALSO PRODUCING.

AFTER A WHILE, MY FREEWHEELING SOUL CALLED ME TO THE FREELANCE LIFE TO WORK FOR LARGE/SMALL/MICRO AGENCIES AND CREATE CAMPAIGNS THAT I WAS PROUD OF. DURING THIS STINT, I FOUND MYSELF WORKING WITH PLACES LIKE ANOMALY, BBH, BBDO, DDB, DMB&B, DENTSU, KOWLOON WHOLESALE FOOD, A BAND OF GYPSIES, AND A FEW AGENCIES SO SMALL AND NEW- THERE WASN'T A NAME.  

WORKING AT ALL THESE PLACES, I BUILT A REPUTATION OF BEING INTEGRAL TO CREATING GREAT CREATIVE WORK.  TBWA\CHIAT\DAY THEN SEARCHED ME OUT TO HELP THEM PRODUCE AND CONTINUE THE LEVEL OF CREATIVE PRODUCT THAT THEY WERE USED TO.  WHILE THERE, I LEAD PRODUCTION ON WORK FOR CLIENTS LIKE PLAYSTATION, VISA, PEPSI, NISSAN, GATORADE, AND MCDONALDS TO NAME A FEW.

AFTER A WHILE, THE FREELANCE LIFE CALLED BACK TO EXTEND MY BODY OF WORK AND PARTNER WITH AGENCIES LIKE 72 AND SUNNY, DEUTSCH, MEDIA ARTS LAB, UNION MADE CREATIVE, SECRET WEAPON, PITCH, AS WELL AS RETURNING TO TBWA\CHIAT\DAY ON MANY OCCASION.

one thing worth noting:

• each and every spot that exists on this site i personally produced with very talented creatives, dedicated brand and business affairs managers.  i did not supervise or assist someone that produced, nor did anyone supervise me in the producing of any of these spots.  i was the producer in charge of every commercial on this site.  some producers may claim credit on a spot because they made a small editorial change, or did a tagging session on a spot.  in my opinion, this is stealing from the person that actually did the work.  i write this as i see a person claiming credit on a documentary that i was the sole producer that worked on it (i am trying to remedy that now)  

now i will get off of this soapbox before i fall and break a femur...
